Good news hot sauce fans! There will be three varieties of Blue Truck Hot Sauce available the morning of Friday Sept. 27. Pick up from my porch or stop by the Prairie Island Campground community garden Friday or Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm during Boats and Bluegrass for a hot sauce tasting and pop up sale. Fresh bottles of Velvet Hammer, Tropical Kiss, and South of Heaven, $6 each. Cash, Venmo to Jon-Swanson-26 (last 4 digits 6703), or PayPal jonswan2001@yahoo.com. No shipping, first come, first serve.
I appreciate your patience and understanding this year. I lost over 200 pepper plants to the flood this spring and heavy rain kept me from planting at Featherstone Farm this year. I replanted everything in July, and was 6 weeks behind schedule, but the weather has been perfect, so I have been harvesting gorgeous peppers this week. Lots more batches on the way.

Pop up Blue Truck Hot Sauce hot sauce tasting and sale at Prairie Island Campground Saturday Oct 8, 3-6 pm! I'll part of their Fall Fest, alongside crafts people teaching and demonstrating fermentation and mushroom growing. Try and buy hot sauces, salsas, pickled Hatch peppers, chipotle in adobo sauce, and I will be roasting up a FRESH out of the garden salsa verde which will be available for purchase. Also, I will have a batch of chili colorado slow roasting over the fire so you can taste my new chipotle in adobo in a dish.
2022 Updates
Mother Nature is a bit slow this year, but my super hot peppers are finally ready, so I will have more hot sauces for sale in the next two weeks. The green Velvet Hammer hot sauce, Salsa Verde, and pickled Hatch are available now, and the deadly hot South of Heaven will be available on Tuesday. The other sauces will be here very soon, thanks for your patience.
